The trilateral meeting of the government, opposition Nepali Congress and agitating Madhesi parties ended inconclusively on Monday, with a decision to meet again on Wednesday.

The meeting, called by PM KP Oli, was held at his official residence in Baluwatar.

PM and chairman of CPN (UML) Oli, senior leader of UML Jhalanath Khanal, Madhav Kumar Nepal, President of NC Sushil Koirala, senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba, vice-president Ramchandra Paudel, UCPN (Maoist) chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Vice-chair Narayan Kaji Shrestha were present in the meeting.

Likewise, chairman of Terai Madhesh Loktantrik Party Mahanta Thakur, vice-chairman Hridayesh Tripathi, co-chairman of Sadvawana Party Laxman Lal Karna, vice-chair of Federal Socialist Forum Lalbabu Raut and senior leader of Terai Madhesh Sadvawana Party Ram Naresh Raya participated in the meeting from the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF).
