World's Longest Glass Skywalk to Open to Public in China's Chongqing

If you are afraid of heights you are missing the latest attraction of China. The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon skywalk will hover over a nail-biting 980ft drop and is set to smash records to be the worlds longest and highest glass-bottomed bridge. The footbridge spans between two cliffs in the national park of Zhangjiajie which will be opened to the brave tourist in July. The skywalk can hold a whopping 800 visitors at a time with the plans to even fashion show.The platform stretches a whopping 1, 410 ft above impressive Hunan Province scenery. There are even plans to hold the fashion shows along the sky high pathway. The brave visitors will see the unbeatable views of the national park which was the inspiration for the planet Pandora in the movie Avatar. Haim Dotan, Isareli architect was behind the ambitious venture which will easily dwarf America’s Grand Canyon Skywalk which sits 718 feet above the ground measuring 68 ft. long. Visitors will be able to marvel at the stunning Zhangjiajie national park landscape, which boasts over 3,000 sandstone pillars, and was the inspiration for James Cameron’s 2009 movie, Avatar.The visitors will also get the opportunity of trying the world’s highest bungee jump. It is also certain that the record breaking bungee will snatch the title from Macau Tower’s 764 ft high attraction. Similarly a scary walkway was opened in south-west China in Chongqing, which extended 87.5ft from the edge of a cliff last month. The visitors are suspended in the air with 2,350ft of valley below their feet, leaving them feel as though they are walking on air. The locals will be entertained due to the adventurous journey that they might feel as if they are walking in the air.
