A gruesome video has unsettled viewers after it showed a parasitic worm wriggling around inside a woman's eyeball.
In the clip, a doctor looks at a woman's eye through a microscope where a small, thin worm can clearly be seen writing in the bottom half of her iris.
The short video shows the worm move over her pupil as the woman blinks, although she does not appear to be in any pain.
It is not clear how or if the worm was removed from the woman's iris.

The gruesome video was uploaded to LiveLeak.com just six hours ago and has already clocked up more than 14,000 views .
And some squeamish viewers made their thoughts clear.
One wrote: "Yech, that's disgusting. [...] everything that involves an eye makes me shiver all over."

According to information alongside the footage, the creature is known as a nematode or a roundworm and while the smallest species can be microscopic, some of the parasitic worms can reach up to a metre in length.

Some species of nematodes are responsible for passing life threatening diseases onto humans.
It is not clear where this particular clip was filmed.
