A fitness enthusiast nicknamed the Running Man because he RAN 5,200 miles every year has died after being hit by an SUV.
Philip Weber, 55, ran around 100 miles every week stripped down to his running shorts and sporting some eye-catching facial hair.
A local celebrity in his home town of Charlottesville, USA, Weber died at the scene of the accident on Tuesday.
He was struck by an Isuzu Trooper at around 7am, according to police.
The driver has not been charged but an investigation into the crash is ongoing
