In the same, the Madhesi- centered parties have been agitating on the constitution based on 16 points agreement. A truck carrying the goods is torched by the agitators in Birgunj. The Madhesi agitators have torched the truck Na 1 Cha 3435. The cadres have shown their fury in the truck loded with the cartons. They have also vandalized five other trucks in Bahuari Chowk of Birgunj on Friday.According to police, the trucks that were heading towards Kathmandu after loading sugar from the Prasauni-based Reliance Sugar Mill of Bara. As per the information by police, the agitators have torched the truck carrying the cartons. The locals had robbed the sugar sacks of three trucks following the incident.After the locals started to rob the sugar, police had reached the incident site and fired seven rounds of bullets in the air and lobbed some tear gas shells.Showing the security threat due to the ongoing Madhesi protest in the southern parts of the country, India has been blocking and restricting the supply of the petroleum products. But the petroleum products which are imported from India have been irregularly dispatched from the main custom points of the country. The ;police have also informed that the window panes of the truck are broken.
